Important Announcement: Temporary Pause of Young Ranger and Education/Alternative Provision at the Farm Projects

We would like to inform our community that Little Gate will be pausing both the Young Ranger and Education at the Farm projects for a six-month review period.

The Young Ranger programme will continue to run throughout the summer holidays as planned. From September 2025, both projects will be temporarily paused to allow time for reflection, review, and planning for the future.

This decision has not been taken lightly. We are incredibly proud of the impact these projects have had and are deeply grateful to the staff, families, and children who have been part of them. This pause will give us the opportunity to evaluate how we can best serve our community going forward.

We understand that this news may be difficult, and we are committed to keeping everyone informed throughout the review process. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

If you have any questions or would like to share your thoughts, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Young Rangers

There’s so much fun to be had at Little Gate Farm that we hardly know where to start! Whether you like art, crafts, animals, treasure hunts, building dens or simply playing in the great outdoors then the Young Rangers is the perfect place to be.

Our Young Rangers are aged from 8 upwards. They meet at weekends and in school holidays throughout the year. We run the activities as groups – one-to-one support can be provided but there would be an extra charge for this.

We provide transport to and from the farm and any equipment our Young Rangers need for their adventures. Young Rangers costs £35 per day.

Transport from Bexhill and St Leonards is available at an additional cost of £5 a day.

Teen Rangers

With acres of farm and woodland to explore, our Teen Rangers really make the most of their time here.

They spend their days building dens, making campfires, baking, undertaking teamwork challenges, enjoying arts and crafts, caring for our farm animals and looking out for local wildlife. If they don’t come home happily exhausted then we haven’t done our job!

Our Teen Rangers are aged from 13 upwards – often including Young Rangers who have grown out of the younger group. We run activities as weekend and school holiday clubs year round.

Our activities are group-based, but we can provide one-to-one support if needed, though this would be at an extra cost.

Transport to and from the farm is provided along with any equipment the Teen Rangers need. Teen Rangers costs £28 per day, plus £2 if you use our transport.
