Little Gate Flowers Opens for the National Garden Scheme This Summer

We are delighted to announce that, for the very first time, Little Gate Flowers will be opening its gates as part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS) this summer.

This exciting milestone gives visitors the opportunity to explore our unique cut flower garden in Beckley, East Sussex, and see first-hand the incredible work being carried out by our trainees and team throughout the year. (National Garden Scheme)

Based at Little Gate Farm, Little Gate Flowers is more than just a flower garden. As a social enterprise, it provides adults with learning disabilities, autism or both the opportunity to develop valuable workplace skills through growing, harvesting and selling beautiful seasonal flowers. Every flower grown here represents not only colour and creativity, but also confidence, learning and opportunity. (Little Gate)

Visit the Garden in Full Summer Bloom

Visitors will be able to wander through our colourful working flower garden, which features around 50 raised beds filled with annual and perennial flowers, a sensory garden, a polytunnel and a variety of quirky handmade structures that make the site truly unique. (National Garden Scheme)

Our trainees have worked incredibly hard throughout the year to sow, nurture and care for the flowers, and we are proud to showcase the garden in all its summer glory.

Alongside the gardens, visitors can enjoy:

  • Tea, coffee and homemade cake at our pop-up café
  • Fresh flowers and plants available to purchase
  • The chance to learn more about Little Gate Flowers and the impact of our work
  • A relaxing afternoon surrounded by beautiful blooms and countryside views
