Little Gate Big Festival

On Saturday 9th June, over 3,000 people attended a fundraising event at Little Gate Farm in Beckley, raising £8,061. The Big Festival had live music and entertainment throughout the day and evening, there was lots of fun and games for children to enjoy, stalls, a wide variety of food and drink and this year for the first time there was the opportunity to camp overnight.

The event also gave an insight into what amazing projects Little Gate Farm is involved in, its focus on getting learning disabled adults into employment. Empowering people, tackling the stigma around hidden disabilities and showing many examples of successful placements within the workplace.

The moneys raised will allow the farm to purchase a new mini bus for the Young Rangers Project that invites children with learning difficulties to the farm, offering vital respite during school holidays.

On behalf of Little Gate Farm, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended, bringing family and friends along, your support is amazing and we are truly grateful. There was an astounding 250 volunteers who helped and performed on the day. One of the highlights was a very impressive raffle, prizes kindly donated by local businesses and individual supporters as follows:
